"Hook A Bag - Prize Every Time"! This vintage, hand painted fairground sign is wonderfully vibrant. These signs were almost always painted in-house and have an unmistakable, slightly naieve feel to them. 

 

This example isn't particularly old - probably late '70s / '80s but it's 100% authentic and has aged nicely. It's painted onto plywood which has rounded at the corners after years of being dragged on and off of lorries and the painted flaked off here and there - particularly along the bottom edge which probably sat on wet grass, but that's all part of it's charm. 

 

It stands 4ft / 1.22cm high x 38.5cm wide and has a single hanging hole at the top.
