This wooden sign with raised, cast iron lettering and pointing hand would've originated from the London and North Western Railway - a British rail company that ran from 1846 - 1922. This sign probably dates from the late 19th century and it's original paint has aged, in my opinion, perfectly.

Measuring in at 1.3m wide, this is a real statement piece that displays beautifully. There's a little gouge to the outer edging on the middle of the left edge (see last photo) , but this isn't overly noticeable and other than that the sign is fully complete and can be hung from two hooks in the upper edge or mirror plates could be affixed with ease.

In total the sign measures 131cm wide x 32.5cm high x 6cm deep.
